The factory occupies an area of 4 000 square feet and 400 square feet of office. The equipment consisted of a saw cutting and polishing. A year later, due to a well-filled order book, the plant increased its working area of 50% or 6 000 square feet and is endowed with a "profiler" to cut angles and make moldings.
In its beginning the company had only three employees, but in 1993 it increased from 3 to 6 employees. In 1995, the company acquired it from an old saw that power was completely rebuilt and modernized which allowed him to become self-respect for sawing stone blocks. Following the successful operation of this equipment, the company hired more staff and went from 6 to 15 employees.
In 1999, with the arrival of a new cutting saw allowing to cut as thick as 24", enlarge the plant further to 8 000 square feet and increased its number of employees to 25.
In 2000, following great ambitions and a growing demand, Les Pierres Technoprofil became the owner following the construction of a new building on measuring 13.200 square feet (10,800 square foot factory and 2,400 square feet of office) and is the acquisition of a saw blade with a programmable 12 feet in diameter at the time this was a first in Quebec.
In 2001, to improve the work area, an expansion of 3 600 square feet was added to the sections of the finishing and packaging. In 2002, 32 people were in positions in the company. Following a very large order from high-end, she made the purchase of a saw cutting two axes and a saw 3 axes CNC controlled to a reduction in material losses and a huge time saver for manufacturing.
In 2003, with an increase in the territory to be served, a tractor-trailer and a forklift 3 wheel drive was purchased and a second block saw the same diameter as the first.
In 2005, Les Pierres Technoprofil made the purchase of a CNC 5-axis pole and became the first company to have a machine of this size in North America and thereby increase its headcount to 40 people.
In 2007, to retrieve the pieces of stone not used, the owners will provide 300 tons a guillotine.
In 2008, the plant rejuvenates its equipment by purchasing two new saws having an impact in increasing production speed and accuracy.
